In short
Check in for your next career step: duty component manager at KLM! You ensure that our processes run smoothly every day, and that operational problems are resolved quickly. In this way, you contribute—directly or indirectly—to a well-oiled organization and unforgettable flights.
What will you do?
As duty component manager, you take charge of availability processes. In doing so, you reduce the chance of an Aircraft On Ground (shortened: AOG), and ensure that our customers can keep flying. You analyze problems that threaten to arise in operations and resolve them quickly and effectively. Furthermore, you ensure that sufficient components are available—for the KLM fleet and for our customers. A challenging role, because the playing field is large and the processes are complex.
Your focus will be the further establishment of the CS Control Tower and the associated analyses. With this, you examine the complete Supply Chain over a period of two to twelve weeks and, together with various stakeholders, identify and prevent upcoming availability problems in the most efficient way possible.
Where will you land?
You will be working in the Engineering & Maintenance department. Together with Air France Industries, we are a leader in the field of aircraft maintenance. In addition to our own fleet, we also maintain aircraft, engines, and components for approximately 150 customers worldwide.
Your profile
You are enthusiastic, decisive, and driven, and you know how to effortlessly maintain an overview in a complex environment with diverse processes. With your analytical ability, process-oriented approach, strong system knowledge, and tactical insight, you identify bottlenecks quickly, distinguish main issues from secondary ones, and dare to make decisive decisions at crucial moments. Additionally, you are relationship-oriented and a strong communicator, allowing you to convincingly and effectively bring internal stakeholders along in your choices.
Furthermore:
- you have an HBO diploma;
- you bring knowledge of aircraft and component technologies, as well as CS and E&M processes;
- you have experience with data analysis;
- you combine analytical ability with process-oriented working and effortlessly maintain an overview thanks to a strong helicopter view and tactical insight.
- Additionally, you are relationship-oriented, identify relevant trends, separate main issues from secondary ones, and communicate concisely, powerfully, and convincingly.
