As a Security Officer Operations, you will be involved in minimizing security risks both in operations and in business processes, and you will protect the interests and assets of the KLM Group. Additionally, you will play an important role in Executive Protection.

You are responsible for a wide and varied range of tasks. For instance, you intervene in incidents involving aggressive or disruptive passengers, provide support during the safe opening and inspection of baggage when something suspicious has been detected, and monitor and secure KLM property, including goods, vehicles, sites, and buildings. Additionally, you provide executive protection during events.

In doing so, you work closely with relevant government agencies and emergency services. At Schiphol, these include the Royal Marechaussee, Police, Customs, and Fire Department.

Additionally:

• You have knowledge of the KLM organization and its work processes;
• You have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations & codes of conduct;
• You make recommendations regarding operational processes and locations to thereby limit vulnerabilities in the security of the KLM Group;
• You advise other divisions in the field of Security in the context of improving procedures and the use of security tools (such as card readers, cameras, etc);
• You carefully register security incidents and reports in our registration system, including the measures taken;
• You handle emergency situations, including contacts with emergency services, authorities, Security Services management, and KLM management;
• You identify frequent incidents in operations and make improvement proposals and actively contribute to their implementation;
• You supervise or attend on-site during incidents to ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and goods and to prevent escalation (for example, in the case of 'unruly passengers').

KLM Security Services consists of five units, namely: Intelligence, Regulations, Operations, Integrity, and Data & Innovation. The Security Officers Operations are part of the Integrity unit.

Your workplace will be building 551 at Schiphol-Centrum. This is a full-time position and involves working in rotating shifts (early-late), every day of the week.

• Minimum MBO 3 working and thinking level.
• In possession of a Security Officer level 2 and 3 diploma from the Stichting Vakdiploma's Particuliere Beveiligingsorganisatie (SVPB).
• Good oral and written communication skills in the Dutch and English languages.
