You have learned it and done it during your internship. Can you also explain it to twenty healthcare workers on a Saturday?

As a higher professional education (hbo) nursing student, you know how it works at the bedside: insulin, an epileptic seizure, a patient lift, administering medication. At GOED.academy, you teach this to healthcare workers in disability care and mental healthcare (GGZ). You earn 18 to 26 euros gross per hour. That is more than most healthcare side jobs, and you build experience as a trainer.

You give courses to healthcare workers and collaborate on our e-learnings. For the first course, you will undergo an induction period with an experienced instructor, so you will never stand before a group unprepared.

• You teach about diabetes, epilepsy, patient lifts, and transfers
• You provide the resuscitation and BLS component
• You teach about administering medication and medication safety
• You give the medication course for mental healthcare (GGZ)
• If applicable, you also give the ADL course
• You participate in the e-learning team and create and improve e-learning modules during the weeks you are not teaching
• You keep track of who was present and report what was notable in the group

The courses take place at our office at Herculesplein in Utrecht, mainly on Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. It involves 8 to 16 hours per week, at least two course days per month. Everything falls outside office hours, so it fits alongside your classes and your internship.

18 to 26 euros gross per hour, based on your teaching experience. Without teaching experience, you start at the bottom of the range; with experience and after your induction period, you will grow. Preparation time and the hours for the e-learnings are paid as usual.

• A fixed teaching schedule that you know months in advance, so it can be planned alongside your exams
• An induction period and an experienced instructor who looks on with you
• Attend all GOED.academy courses free of charge
• A certificate as a trainer, and the resuscitation and lifting certificates that go with it
• Workplace at Herculesplein in Utrecht, easily accessible by public transport and car

• You explain without reading aloud and can handle a question from the audience
