What we're looking for

  • You are a BIG-registered Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

The role

At HoPE, we believe that being stable is only the beginning. It is precisely when acute treatment is behind them that space arises to continue building on recovery, autonomy, and social participation. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who, with courage, sincere curiosity, and a recovery-oriented perspective, wants to contribute to this beautiful, active treatment phase. Will you help us build it?

Contribute to true recovery and social participation. GGZ inGeest is looking for a Nurse Practitioner for HoPE in Haarlem. Further develop yourself within a multidisciplinary team and help build the care of the future. Your heart, knowledge, and experience are urgently needed.

What you'll do

  • As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work as a lead practitioner with your own caseload. You are the steady face and the first point of contact for your clients during their recovery process.

  • You will be involved in diagnostics, care coordination, somatic screenings, and the drafting, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans. You prescribe medication, carefully monitor its effectiveness and any side effects, and carry out maintenance treatments where necessary, including lithium and clozapine monitoring.

  • You actively support clients in increasing their autonomy and help them work step-by-step towards as independent a life as possible. Recovery of social and societal functioning is central to this.

  • You will be given the space to fully utilize your professional expertise. You will think along about treatment strategies, share your knowledge with colleagues, and make an active contribution to the further development of the quality of care and our recovery-oriented way of working.

  • At GGZ inGeest, in every team we also treat clients with trauma, according to our vision Trauma First – even in cases of comorbidity. Do you want more depth? Then you can participate in the "traumatrein" (trauma train): an intensive treatment program for clients with multiple trauma. Colleagues from different teams and clusters work together in this and experience it as an inspiring way to share knowledge and further develop themselves.

About the department

  • You will be working at the HoPE care program, part of the outpatient clinics. HoPE stands for Recovery, Support, Participation, and Empowerment.

  • Care within HoPE is provided to clients who have completed an intensive treatment period and are ready for the next step. The transition to HoPE represents a lighter care offering: a phase in which the acute illness period can be let go and space literally arises for recovery and regaining personal autonomy. We guide clients to stand independently and firmly on their own two feet in society again.

  • You will deal with a great diversity of psychiatric issues, which makes the work varied and substantively challenging. Within the treatment, we work with active, evidence-based treatment methods such as ACT, CBT, Yucel, and COMET.

  • Our treatments are offered both individually and in groups. Additionally, we offer maintenance treatments with lithium and clozapine to clients with stable bipolar and psychotic disorders. In doing so, we actively seek connection with the regional social domain and recovery initiatives.

  • You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team in Haarlem. The atmosphere is open and informal, with plenty of room for personal initiative, short lines of communication, and collaboration. Together, we continue to build recovery-oriented care in which the client is central.

Also important

  • You are curious, work from a place of trust, and gain energy from guiding clients in their recovery process. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to the further development of HoPE.

  • You will receive a permanent employment contract immediately.

  • The position is scaled in FWG 65 in accordance with the GGZ collective labor agreement.

  • At GGZ inGeest, we support you in your development, whether it is about deepening expertise, learning new skills, or increasing digital knowledge. You can read how we do this in the general terms and conditions.

With #Geestverwanten, we show who we truly are: people who take care very seriously, but who, fortunately, do not always take themselves seriously. Especially now that care is demanding, we are looking for colleagues who understand that laughing is at least as important as listening. A place where you learn and grow together and can occasionally complain about the coffee, while meanwhile realizing how valuable your work is.
