As a psychiatrist, you will work in a multidisciplinary team and provide crucial help to various clients. Contribute to research, innovative treatments, and policy development. Together, we strive for effective, personal, and short-term treatments for a better quality of life.
As a psychiatrist at KIC, you always work together. You work closely with the multidisciplinary team and referrers and participate in team meetings and treatment plan discussions.
Your responsibilities include drafting and supervising treatment plans, including prescribing and monitoring medication. Together with the client, involved practitioners, and family, you shape the treatment.
You provide consultation and advice to other team members, such as psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers and peer support workers, nurses, and supervisors, regarding complex cases. In doing so, you share your expertise and support the implementation of treatment strategies.
Within GGZ inGeest, you are part of the clinical team of psychiatrists, which meets regularly to discuss treatments and cases. This promotes the exchange of experience and knowledge. Additionally, the psychiatrists of the clinics work closely together and take over each other's tasks when necessary.
The high intensive care clinic is an acute admission ward with approximately 20 beds. We treat clients between the ages of 18 and 60 with very diverse backgrounds and varying psychiatric conditions who are in a severe crisis. Our goal is to avert the crisis and strive for a short-term admission in close cooperation with the client, their loved ones, and outpatient care. In doing so, we work according to the HIC model.
Although admissions are often involuntary, we strive to keep coercion and compulsion to a minimum. At the HIC, we develop various treatment programs and organize group discussions and recovery-oriented activities.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of nurses, supervisors, psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and experts by experience. We have excellent partnerships with hospitals and other healthcare clinics.
Our team is characterized by an open learning environment where much attention is paid to feedback, initiative, and intervision. We support one another, and there is room for fun and relaxation.

With #Geestverwanten, we show who we truly are: people who take care seriously, but perhaps not themselves always. Especially now that healthcare is working hard, we are looking for colleagues who understand that laughing is at least as important as listening.
