Do you ensure that clients receive the right care and funding at the right time?
As a Healthcare Logistics and Care Mediation Advisor, you connect care, laws and regulations, and the various parties surrounding a client. You ensure that indications are arranged on time, follow-up care connects well, and clients can flow in and out as smoothly as possible. In doing so, you liaise with practitioners, care offices, municipalities, health insurers, and other chain partners.
You will be given plenty of room to think along and advise. And that comes at a good time, because there is plenty of movement within Zorg-ALO: processes are being further improved and collaborations are being strengthened. Together with a small team of dedicated colleagues, you will help build a healthcare logistics process that works well for both clients and caregivers.
As a Healthcare Logistics and Care Mediation Advisor, you provide clients undergoing treatment at GGZ inGeest with a suitable indication in a timely manner, so that the financing of the care is guaranteed and the outflow of clients can take place on time. You request indications if the duration of stay reaches the limit of 365 days and/or when clients require follow-up care.
You analyze medical files and speak with practitioners and involved parties to arrive at a correct, person-centered indication or care profile, in accordance with CIZ regulations and fitting within Wlz/Wmo/Zvw guidelines.
You consult, negotiate, and coordinate indication requests with care providers, treatment organizations, indication bodies, care offices, municipalities, and health insurers, and inform them in a timely manner about the financing possibilities.
You submit indication requests, monitor tight timelines (application, assessment, decision-making, objection, follow-up actions), and adjust indications if necessary, taking into account the legal basis, care intensity, and continuity of care.
You identify and escalate bottlenecks in complex cases to the care office and resolve conflicting interests or views regarding indications pragmatically.
You coordinate and monitor the entire indication process within and outside the organization and ensure that clients flow in and out to suitable follow-up locations in a timely manner.
You assess assigned indications, lodge objections if necessary, and, in consultation with management and care sales, make agreements with financiers when there are risks of non-claimable or over-budget care.
You follow and translate developments in laws and regulations (WvGGZ, WLZ, Wmo, Zvw) into practical advice for practitioners, management, and the board, and support choices between different care frameworks.
You maintain central indication data, generate steering and management information (e.g., inflow and outflow, difference between care demand vs. care supply), and advise on adjustments both when requested and proactively.
You maintain and strengthen relationships with internal departments (e.g., practitioners, ZorgControl, care sales, financial administration) and external chain partners (municipalities, care offices, assisted living providers, volunteer organizations, DJI), and fulfill an ambassador role for GGZ inGeest in this.
You identify risks and opportunities at the institutional level and contribute to the positioning and profiling of GGZ inGeest within the GGZ chain.
You will be working in the Zorg ALO department in the Healthcare Logistics and Care Mediation team at the Oldenaller location in Amsterdam for 24 hours per week.
With #Geestverwanten, we show who we really are: people who take care seriously, but fortunately, not always themselves. Especially now that healthcare is demanding a lot, we are looking for colleagues who understand that laughing is at least as important as listening.
You will be working for Zorg-ALO, which stands for administration, logistics, and support.
The Zorg-ALO department consists of 7 different teams that as a whole are responsible for the entire healthcare administrative and healthcare logistics process within GGZ inGeest.
The goal of the Zorg-ALO department is to ensure that the entire process of supporting clients and caregivers, from registration to invoicing, runs flawlessly.
Together with your fellow advisors from Zorg-ALO, you will commit yourself to ensuring that the entire process of supporting clients and practitioners, from intake to invoicing, runs flawlessly within the organization.
You will be working in a team of 4 colleagues.
The department is still very much in development. Processes need to be further streamlined, and collaborations need to be initiated. A beautiful challenge, therefore!
