New Build Project Manager | Makkum

You are the face of our shipyard in Makkum towards the owner's team during the construction of a new, unique Feadship yacht. A construction project lasts an average of four years, from contract signing to delivery. You maintain intensive contact with the owner's team and translate their wishes into a manufacturable and feasible design. Together with your project team—where you lead the Technical Manager, Interior Manager, Exterior Manager, Controller, Planner, Purchaser, and Construction Coordinator, with the Project Assistant as a constant value—you monitor the entire process, from the initial design by the Naval Architects through to delivery. Your mission: to deliver a Feadship, but above all, to make their dream a reality.

Specifically, you will be involved in, among other things:
• Monitoring the budget, planning, and quality of the construction project;
• Managing all construction-related risks;
• Maintaining intensive contact with the owner's team and designers and translating their wishes into a manufacturable and feasible design;
• Collaborating with the Engineering department during the design phase;
• Collaborating with the shell builder during the shell construction phase;
• Collaborating with production departments, subcontractors, and co-builders during the finishing phase;
• Successfully managing all involved parties.

You are a connecting project manager with a warm, customer-oriented attitude: you maintain an overview in complex situations, take responsibility, and get everyone on board. You are persuasive, think in solutions, enjoy collaborating, and have an eye for the diverse interests at play within a project.

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking;
• Preferably several years of experience in (luxury) yacht building;
• Subject-specific knowledge of the construction of luxury yachts;
• Experience with project-based working and managing processes;
• A strong sense of responsibility, independence, and the ability to maintain an overview;
• A positive, energetic attitude and the ability to navigate smoothly through the organization;
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
