What we're looking for

HBO+ or WO level of working and thinking.
A technical education, for example in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, maritime technology, or similar.
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in complex technical project environments.
Demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Director, or a similar role with ultimate responsibility.
Experience with multidisciplinary engineering, production, or new construction projects.
Strong knowledge of contract management, risk management, and project control.
Experience with budget responsibility within extensive project portfolios.
Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

The role

The construction of a Feadship is among the most complex projects within the international manufacturing industry. No two yachts are the same. Every project involves unique technical challenges, exceptional client wishes, and a large number of involved disciplines.

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the project result as a whole from contract signing through to delivery. You operate at both tactical and strategic levels and lead multidisciplinary teams working together toward an uncompromising final product.

You are the primary point of contact for clients, architects, classification societies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Thanks to your leadership, decisiveness, and organizational sensitivity, you know how to bring interests together, manage risks, and successfully bring projects across the finish line within budget.

What you'll do

Within Royal Van Lent Shipyard, you will receive ultimate responsibility for the new construction of a superyacht. You will lead an extensive project team and are responsible for all project phases: from design and engineering to production, commissioning, sea trials, budgeting, and delivery.

The integral management of complex superyacht construction projects with significant technical and financial scale.
Achieving project objectives in the areas of quality, safety, planning, budget, and customer satisfaction.
Developing and monitoring project strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource capacity.
Managing contractual agreements, change requests, and commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Identifying, mitigating, and controlling project risks and escalations.
Leading multidisciplinary teams within engineering, production, procurement, supply chain, planning, and quality management.
Creating support and facilitating decision-making within a complex stakeholder environment.
Representing Feadship towards clients, architects, classification societies, and external partners.
Successfully supervising testing, commissioning, validation, sea trials, and delivery.
The handover to warranty and aftercare processes.

You are responsible not only for the project, but also for the total success of the yacht and the client relationship.

You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record within technically complex project organizations. You combine strategic insight with execution power and know how to successfully lead large multidisciplinary teams in an environment where quality and client expectations are absolute.
