Requirements

What we're looking for

You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, preferably with a facilities management education or hotel school. You also have a safety training such as IVK or HVK, or you are willing to obtain it.
knowledge of facilities services, buildings, installations, and production equipment;
knowledge of HSE legislation, the Arbowet (Working Conditions Act), RI&E, and safety and environmental regulations;
experience with RI&E, audits, suppliers, and supervising improvement actions;
BHV (Emergency Response) and First Aid, or the willingness to obtain these;
strong in planning and organizing, judgment, and customer-oriented collaboration;
good command of Dutch and English, experience with MS Office and planning software.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

A salary, depending on experience, between € 3,500 and € 5,000 gross per month;
A one-year contract with a view to permanent employment;
27 vacation days and 13 ADV days (reduction of working hours) per year based on full-time employment;

The role

Akerboom Yacht Equipment in Leiden is part of De Vries Groep, which builds superyachts under the name Feadship. Akerboom designs and builds high-quality hatches, doors, cranes, platforms, gangways, and boarding ladders for an average of 4 yachts per year. Our equipment must meet the highest standards. It is unique. The luxury yachts in which we install it are technical masterpieces. Akerboom employs approximately 115 people. Our mission is: 'Craftsmanship with passion'.

Do you want to ensure a safe, well-organized, and future-proof working environment? In this versatile role, you will combine facilities management with HSE advice. You will keep buildings, grounds, and resources in top condition. You will translate laws and regulations into practical measures. You will be given plenty of room for improvements.

What you'll do

Maintenance & facilities: You will draw up the MJOP (Multi-Year Maintenance Plan) and keep it up to date. You will coordinate maintenance, inspections, workplace layout, and facilities processes, such as the vehicle fleet and waste processing.
Suppliers & projects: You will compare quotes, monitor contracts, and supervise maintenance, renovation, and improvement projects.
Company canteen: You will ensure correct supply and execution of and in the canteen;
HSE & risk management: You will coordinate the RI&E (Risk Inventory and Evaluation) and monitor the plan of approach. You will translate laws and regulations into clear procedures and measures.
Safe working environment: You will carry out safety rounds, identify risks, and address colleagues and external parties regarding safe working practices.
Incidents & advice: You will be the point of contact for HSE issues, coordinate incident investigations, and advise on preventive improvement measures.
Training & improvement: You will provide toolbox meetings and instructions, support audits, and make HSE performance transparent.
