ICT Support Engineer | Kaag & Amsterdam

You have at least an MBO-4 level of working and thinking. You have extensive experience with support, workstation management, and basic system or network management. You work independently, are service-oriented, and enjoy helping users as well as improving processes.

In addition, you bring:

• MBO level 4 or HBO level of working and thinking, supplemented with relevant experience in IT support.
• Experience at a medior or senior level with analyzing and resolving incidents.
• Broad knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, authorizations, and security principles.
• Experience with ITIL or service-oriented management processes.
• Experience with registering, documenting, and following up on incidents and changes.
• Affinity with standardizing, simplifying, and where possible, automating support processes.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

You ensure that workstations, systems, and applications work properly. You help users quickly and professionally with questions or malfunctions.

You combine technical knowledge with a practical and service-oriented attitude. In addition, you look beyond just solving incidents. You actively think along about improvements, standardization, and automation of processes within the service desk. In this way, you contribute directly to the further professionalization of our ICT organization.

As an ICT Support Engineer, you help users independently. You resolve incidents and manage workstations, laptops, software, and mobile devices. Additionally, you support the ICT management team with system, network, and application management.

Additionally:

• You are the point of contact for users regarding IT questions, incidents, and disruptions, both by telephone, on-site, and via remote support.
• You analyze and resolve your incidents independently and ensure correct registration of reports and solutions.
• You recognize recurring problems and suggest improvements to eliminate structural causes.
• You install, configure, and maintain laptops, workstations, software, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• You provide support in system, network, and application management, including monitoring, testing, updates, and migrations.
• You identify bottlenecks in the areas of performance, capacity, availability, and security.
• You participate in access management, authorizations, and the secure use of systems and data.
• You keep documentation, work instructions, and knowledge articles up to date and ensure clear communication towards users, colleagues, and suppliers.

With your independence and practical attitude, you know how to set priorities within a dynamic environment. You take ownership of reports and ensure that users feel heard and helped.
