Technical Project Manager

• A salary between € 5,190 and € 7,100 gross per month (extending to the end of the scale up to € 7,349), depending on your knowledge and experience.
• 8% holiday allowance, a fixed year-end bonus of 3%, and a bonus opportunity of up to 12%.

Are you a technically strong professional who gets energy from realizing projects and connecting people and disciplines? As CAPEX Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful preparation, organization, and realization of CAPEX projects within the plant. You sit at the project table and take charge: from the initial idea and business case to execution, delivery, and evaluation.

You ensure that projects are actually realized within the agreed scope, planning, budget, and quality frameworks. In doing so, you work closely with colleagues from various teams, external suppliers, and engineering and installation partners. You have no direct reports, but you know how to organize the right resources from the organization, lead them, and collectively bring them to the desired result.

You report to the Plant Manager. You are not part of the Plant Management Team, but you work closely with the plant organization and management. From your role, you are responsible for drafting, managing, and realizing the 3-year CAPEX plan.

As Technical Project Manager, you are the connecting factor between the business, technology, operations, and external partners. You:

• initiate and lead CAPEX projects from idea through to successful delivery;
• translate the strategic and operational needs of the plant into concrete projects and investment proposals;
• are responsible for drafting, prioritizing, and keeping the 3-year CAPEX plan up to date;
• draft project plans, schedules, budgets, and project objectives and monitor these throughout the entire project cycle;
• organize the necessary resources from various teams and ensure effective collaboration between disciplines;
• provide functional leadership to project teams, without direct hierarchical responsibility;
• manage external suppliers, contractors, engineering firms, and other collaboration partners;
• monitor progress, scope, budget, quality, safety, and risks and intervene promptly when adjustment is needed;
• ensure clear decision-making, progress reports, and communication towards stakeholders;
• ensure that projects are delivered according to agreement, handed over to the organization, and completed well both administratively and substantively;
• evaluate completed projects and translate lessons learned into future projects and improvements;
• actively build support and ensure that different interests are brought together;
• contribute from projects to process, product, technical, and efficiency improvements within the plant.

You are a result-oriented project manager who maintains an overview, takes responsibility, and ensures that projects actually get off the ground and are completed. You are technically proficient, can switch well between different disciplines, and know how to get people moving without formal hierarchical responsibility. You understand that successful projects are not just about technology and planning, but especially about collaboration, clear agreements, and ownership.

Additionally:

• you have HBO (Higher Professional Education) working and thinking level, preferably in a technical direction;
• you have demonstrable experience in leading technical and/or CAPEX projects;
• you are strong in planning, budget monitoring, risk management, and project control;
• you can collaborate well with various internal teams and external parties;
• you are a strong communicator and know how to connect different interests;
• you naturally take charge and hold people accountable for agreements made;
• you are independent, decisive, and result-oriented;
• you can prioritize well and maintain an overview even under pressure;
• you think ahead and signal risks and dependencies before they become a problem;
• you know how to organize resources and provide functional leadership to people without them reporting directly to you.

In short: you are the person who ensures that CAPEX projects do not get stuck in plans, but are actually realized.
