Furthermore, we offer you:
Every Feadship is custom built and cannot exist without your contribution. Soon, a piece of your work will be in every yacht. That brings responsibility, but above all, pride. And that is perhaps the most important thing we can offer you.
Furthermore, we offer you:
Every year, an average of two superyachts leave the dry docks of the Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw shipyard in Aalsmeer. Luxury, custom-made yachts that distinguish themselves through the quality of construction, engineering, and finishing.
As a 2D/3D Detail Engineer Exterior, you play a key role in translating design and engineering into manufacturable solutions on board. With your knowledge of customization, materials, and production, you ensure that components such as outdoor furniture, ceilings, and enclosures fit the yacht precisely. You work on a single project for an average of 9 to 12 months, allowing you to see the result of your drafting step by step.
At our shipyard, craftsmanship comes to life. We engineer, produce, and realize custom components for the exterior of unique superyachts. Because every yacht is built entirely according to the client's wishes, engineering and production work closely together every day. As a link between these disciplines, you play a crucial role in components such as outdoor furniture on the owner's deck, an outdoor ceiling, or the enclosure of a jacuzzi. In this way, you contribute directly to the final result of superyachts ranging from 50 to 90 meters.
"The exterior is the calling card of the yacht"
Using design programs such as AutoCAD and TopSolid, you create production drawings for the exterior production department in 2D and 3D. To do this effectively, you will take measurements on board and gather information from colleagues in other engineering disciplines. Imagine you are detailing a bar unit for the sun deck: not just a functional piece of furniture for, say, glassware, but also an eye-catcher that contributes to the luxury appearance of the yacht.
The exterior carpenters work independently on making and installing the woodwork on board. They do this based on your drawings. You spend part of your time collecting and verifying information; the rest of your time you work on engineering the components. You work with, among others, six exterior engineers and the production planning department.
"The exterior is the calling card of the yacht"
The yachts under construction are located just a stone's throw from your workplace. How unique is that!
A good reward is more than just a good salary. For us, enjoyment in work and a good work-life balance are at least as important. The more you enjoy yourself, the better your contribution to our projects. That commitment is also reflected in our culture. Lines of communication are short, colleagues help each other, and we find open conversation important. Together we work on unique yachts and on a pleasant working environment in which you quickly feel at home.
