At Royal Van Lent Shipyard, we want you to grow in your career. At the same time, you enjoy a healthy work-life balance. That is why we have put together an attractive and complete offer:
You are present on the construction site daily and lead a team of your own employees, agency workers, and partners. You distribute the work and monitor progress. You ensure that electrical installations are safe and efficient and meet the highest quality standards.
You ensure that energy distribution, control systems, lighting, communication systems, and installation systems arrive at the right place at the right time. In this way, you make a direct contribution to the quality and progress of our unique superyachts.
As Electrical Foreman, you are responsible for the daily management of activities within your work area. You ensure optimal planning, coordination, and execution of the work on board our yachts.
You work closely with Work Preparers, Project Leads, colleagues from other disciplines, and subcontractors. In doing so, you continuously monitor the balance between quality, safety, planning, and budget.
Your responsibilities:
• Daily management, guidance, and coaching of technicians, skilled tradespeople, apprentices, and agency workers.
• Distributing and planning activities within your assigned sections or spaces on board.
• Coordinating activities between different disciplines and subcontractors.
• Monitoring safety, quality, progress, and hours spent.
• Identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements in working methods and processes.
• Assessing drawings, diagrams, and work instructions for feasibility.
• Checking performed work using inspection and handover documents.
• Actively contributing to commissioning, testing, and delivery activities.
• Organizing toolbox meetings, daily starts, and work meetings.
• Acting as the first point of contact on the shop floor for colleagues, project team members, and other involved parties.
You are a technical leader who stands among the people. You know how to motivate a team. You maintain an overview in a busy environment and you make decisions when necessary.
