Application Manager

• Your position

  As an Application Manager, you are responsible for the management, support, and further development of applications that support the integrated business planning of Royal Avebe. You work within the Application Manager Support Team, a central point of contact for the organization regarding functional application management.

  You focus on processes such as forecasting, demand planning, sales & operations planning (S&OP), production planning, and line planning. For this, you work with, among others, SAP IBP, SAP ECC (PP-PI), and SAP SCM PP/DS. Additionally, you contribute to improvement initiatives within other process areas such as production, maintenance, logistics, and procurement.

  Royal Avebe is in an important phase of standardization and simplification of work processes and applications. In this transition, you play an important role by connecting users, process owners, and IT solutions.

  Your impact

  In this role, you contribute directly to the continuous improvement of business processes and applications. Your main responsibilities are:

  • You are the first point of contact within your process domain for incidents, changes, and new developments.
  • You manage applications and integrations and identify opportunities, risks, and possibilities for improvement.
  • You translate user requirements into functional specifications and suitable solutions.
  • You support users with questions and functional or technical issues.
  • You analyze and resolve issues within SAP IBP, SAP ECC (PP-PI), SAP SCM PP/DS, and related applications.
  • You draft process documentation and user manuals and keep them up to date.
  • You participate in projects and improvement initiatives or fulfill a coordinating role within them.
  Team & work environment

  Within Royal Avebe, the ICT department plays a key role in managing and further developing global business processes. These processes are supported by various systems and applications, including SAP ECC, SAP IBP, SuccessFactors, Integration Suite, Ivalua, MES, and Mendix.

  As an Application Manager, you work closely with colleagues from Sales, Planning, Production, Finance, Procurement, HR, and Logistics. Within the Application Manager Support Team, collaboration is central. You also maintain contact with service partners and software suppliers and actively share knowledge with colleagues, key users, and other stakeholders.

  Additionally, you work on-call shifts where you are available for urgent disruptions for one week approximately five times a year outside of regular working hours.

  Your capabilities
  • A completed HBO or WO degree, preferably in the direction of IT or (Technical) Business Administration.
  • Affinity with IT and digital process support.
  • Interest in or experience with SAP ABAP programming is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to follow SAP training and courses.
  • Knowledge of SAP IBP, SAP ECC, and/or SAP S/4HANA, specifically PP-PI and PP/DS, is a plus.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, BiSL, PRINCE2, or IPMA are a plus.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages. Knowledge of German is a plus.
