The role

Do you want to build towards the residential construction challenge and towards a new development organization? As a Senior Project Developer at Dura Vermeer Bouw & Vastgoed, you will work on large-scale residential construction projects in Central Netherlands. You step in after the tender award and are responsible for the further development towards realization. In an entrepreneurial environment, you will be given all the space to help build the team, apply your expertise in collaboration with construction partners, and grow into a role with more substantive and coaching responsibilities.

Entrepreneurial, experienced, and ready to make an impact? Then you will feel at home within this new development organization of Dura Vermeer. As a Senior Project Developer, you work on extensive residential developments and help not only advance projects, but also the team and the organization. You understand how development and construction reinforce each other, take ownership, and are given the space to think along, help build, and grow together. You are involved from the phase after the tender award and communicate intensively with construction to successfully bring projects towards execution. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to mentor developers in the future and, for example, grow into a role such as Head of Real Estate Development.

This position explicitly does not focus on the initiation phase or the acquisition side of area and real estate development. The focus lies on the moment when a tender has been won and projects are actually going to be realized. You work on (mid)large residential developments of hundreds of homes and are the connecting factor between development and construction. That makes this role ideal for an experienced developer who gets energy from realizing projects, shows entrepreneurship, and wants to grow with an ambitious organization.

What you'll do

· You are responsible for the development of residential construction projects from tender award to the start of realization;

· You manage the development process in the areas of quality, planning, finance, and risks;

· You connect the interests of municipalities, advisors, investors, housing corporations, construction teams, and other stakeholders;

· You work intensively with colleagues from Construction to make projects optimally executable and feasible;

· You translate ambitions and plans into concrete development decisions that contribute to successful execution;

· You direct permit processes, agreements, and decision-making;

· You monitor the business case and manage value creation throughout the entire development process;

· You actively contribute to the further buildup and professionalization of the development organization;

· You guide and coach less experienced project developers and are given the space to fulfill a more directing role in the long term.

About Dura Vermeer

In their own words

About the company & team

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we belong to the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues who work together on projects you can be proud of—iconic yet close by—and who contribute to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with engaged people. That is why we invest in good employerhood and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and achieve more together with us.

This is where you belong

At Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Utrecht, we are at the beginning of a new chapter. Where for years we were known as a strong renovation/transformation specialist, since the beginning of this year we have grown into a full-fledged Construction and Real Estate organization. In addition to renovation and transformation, we now also realize new construction projects in residential and non-residential construction, and we are taking the next step towards our own area and real estate development.

That means you will find yourself in an organization that is in full motion. With over 100 colleagues within our operating company, we are not only building sustainable homes, utility projects, and living environments, but also the future of our own organization. The lines are short, the ambitions are great, and the opportunities to help build new ways of working, teams, and projects are plentiful.

Here you get the space to make an impact. Not from the sidelines, but right in the middle of a fresh organization that is further developing itself and in which entrepreneurship, collaboration, and ownership are central. Together we build projects we are proud of and an organization that is ready for the future.
