The role

Are you ready to play an important role in challenging projects within the utility construction sector as an electrical engineering site planner? At Dura Vermeer Techniek, you will ensure that our installation technology projects run smoothly, from design to completion. You think ahead, see opportunities, and work together with various disciplines on smart technical solutions. Does this sound like your next step? Then we would love to meet you!

What you'll do

As an electrical engineering site planner, you are involved from the first sketch through to the completion of the project. You work on technically challenging design & build projects, where you do not simply follow a specification, but actively contribute ideas for innovative and practical solutions.

You translate the technical design into concrete working methods, executable plans, and a detailed schedule. In doing so, you continuously take time, budget, quality, and safety into account.

Together with the project team, you discuss the schedule, identify potential risks, and think ahead to prevent bottlenecks. You see not only where improvements are needed, but also where opportunities lie to execute the project more smartly and efficiently. You coordinate the activities with all involved disciplines and ensure that everyone is informed of the progress. Good communication and collaboration are central to this.

You are also regularly present on the project site. You monitor progress, identify points for improvement, and ensure that the electrical installations align well with the structural and other technical disciplines. In this way, you contribute to a smooth construction process and a high-quality end result.

What you bring

You are a site planner who thinks ahead, enjoys collaborating, and sees opportunities to improve projects and processes. You understand how important good coordination between different disciplines is and like to take the initiative in this regard.

Furthermore, you bring the following:

  • You have experience with integrated collaboration with structural and technical colleagues, or you want to further develop yourself in this area.

  • You actively think along about the organization and execution of projects and are convinced that processes can always be improved.

  • You are a true connector: you do not only want to realize smart technical solutions, but also want to contribute to the further development of the organization.

  • You have several years of experience as a site planner and possess an electrical engineering background within building-related installation technology.

About Dura Vermeer

In their own words

About the company & team

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can feel that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building in the Netherlands, in residential construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the foundation for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with engaged people. That is why we invest in good employerhood and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and achieve more together with us.

As an electrical engineering site planner, you will join the dynamic and relatively new Dura Vermeer Techniek division. You will work in a professional team with short lines of communication, in which collaboration, knowledge sharing, and individual initiative are central. Together, we work on challenging projects, such as the new construction of a hospital or a courthouse.

At Dura Vermeer Techniek, we believe in integrated collaboration. This means that you work closely with structural colleagues and other technical disciplines to properly coordinate projects from design to execution. Your knowledge, ideas, and input are valued. You are given the space to think along, propose improvements, and further develop yourself within a healthy family business with a rich history.
