Nice to have

Dura Vermeer is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in Rotterdam.

This job advert was originally written in Dutch.

The role

Are you that experienced site manager who loves to take charge of complex renovation and transformation projects in non-residential construction? Do you get energy from challenging inner-city projects and managing a construction site where no two days are the same? Do you like working together with a close-knit team on leading projects in the Rotterdam region and surroundings? Then we would love to get in touch with you!

What you'll do

As a non-residential renovation site manager, you are the linchpin on the construction site and responsible for a safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of our renovation and transformation projects. From monumental buildings to hospitals and complex office buildings: you ensure that work proceeds according to plan and know how to manage all involved parties in the right way.

You provide daily leadership to construction site employees, suppliers, and subcontractors and are the first point of contact for the execution of the project. In doing so, you continuously monitor the safety, quality, planning, and progress of the work. You work closely with the project manager, work planner, and other project team members to ensure that the project is successfully realized.

Within our projects, the surroundings and end users often play an important role. Many of our renovation projects take place in buildings that remain partially in use during the works. You understand better than anyone how important good coordination, clear communication, and a flexible approach are to minimize nuisance.

In addition to the daily management of execution, you are involved in construction meetings, work briefings, and the coordination of various disciplines on the construction site. You identify risks and opportunities in a timely manner, are cost-conscious, and contribute to an optimal project result.

Together with a dedicated team of construction professionals, you work on challenging and technically complex projects where craftsmanship, collaboration, and innovation are central.

Notable projects you can think of that Dura Vermeer Heyma realizes include:

  • Ypsilon Park

  • Algemene Rekenkamer

  • Erasmus MC
