The role

Do you have extensive experience in managing large-scale, complex non-residential projects? Do you know how to bring together technical challenges, diverse interests, and strong teams? Then we are looking for you! An experienced structural project manager who maintains an overview, provides direction, and successfully realizes complex projects together with the team.

This will be your job
As a project manager, you are responsible for the organization and realization of complex non-residential projects. Projects in which structural and installation engineering issues, challenging processes, schedules, and high requirements for quality and safety converge. You have the experience to make the right trade-offs in these matters and to manage based on time, budget, quality, and safety.

From the preparation phase onwards, you are closely involved. You see through the technical and organizational challenges, make risks transparent, and translate these into a feasible approach. In doing so, you actively think along with the client and the team. You communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders and build long-term client relationships and chain collaborations.

You lead project managers, work planners, and site managers, and connect the different teams and disciplines. Even when multiple projects are running simultaneously, you maintain an overview of progress, capacity, risks, and results. Thanks to your experience with complex non-residential construction, you are a strong sparring partner for clients and internal stakeholders. You make decisions and adjust course when necessary.

In addition, you use your knowledge and experience to further strengthen our organization. You stimulate collaboration, mentor colleagues, and give teams the space and direction to develop. In this way, you ensure a strong project organization that can handle even the most challenging non-residential projects.

You work on cool non-residential projects, such as the office of the European Medicines Agency (EMA in Amsterdam), Lely Innovations (Maassluis), Linden in Amsterdam, and Nexus in Leiden.

More at Dura Vermeer

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are big. And we can only achieve them with committed people. That's why we invest in good employer practices and a working environment where you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe and speak your mind. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.

This is where you belong

Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Rotterdam is a large operating company within the Dura Vermeer Group and operates as a developing builder in the South Holland and Zeeland regions. We specialize in building homes, both apartments and ground-bound houses, and non-residential buildings, with a focus on new construction projects.

Our team is divided into six independent value streams, each with its own expertise. Within these teams, which consist of approximately 35 colleagues, we work together with all necessary disciplines. The structure is flat and without unnecessary hierarchy, which ensures pleasant and efficient collaboration. This way, we combine the advantages of a large company with the warm, personal atmosphere of smaller-scale teams.

An informal atmosphere prevails with us, with a typical Rotterdam mentality: hard work, but also hard laughter. We help each other where necessary, and thanks to the safe and inclusive working environment, in which everyone can be themselves, we are known as a great place to work!
