What we're looking for

A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in civil engineering, building technology, or a field with a focus on sustainability or energy;
3 to 5 years of work experience as a project leader or in a similar role, with experience in sustainability projects or a work background in that direction (preferably at a housing association or in real estate). Experience with planned maintenance is a plus;
Knowledge of sustainability measures and the interconnection between them;
The ability to assess technical information and translate it into a project approach;
Strong skills in planning, organizing, and clear, proactive reporting, supplemented by good financial insight.

What you'll get

A contract for 36 hours per week with a view to extension;
A gross monthly salary between € 4,656.00 and € 6,289.00 based on 36 hours according to scale J of the Woondiensten collective labor agreement;
25 vacation days on a full-time basis;

The role

Do you want to make a difference in the sustainability of student housing? And do you see it as a challenge to translate energy measures and planned maintenance into concrete projects?

What you'll do

As Project Leader, you are responsible for the preparation, tendering, and realization of sustainability and renovation projects. You translate SSH policy into concrete maintenance and sustainability tasks. The focus lies on energy measures, and where possible, we link these measures to natural maintenance moments.

Prepare and independently tender sustainability and renovation projects, in accordance with the procurement and tendering policy;
Think along about the sustainability approach per complex within the frameworks of the SSH and translate these into an executable project;
Assess sustainability and renovation tasks in conjunction and weigh comfort, costs, and energy performance against each other;
Involve residents, contractors, the municipality, and other stakeholders in choices and decisions;
Monitor planning, budget, quality, and risks, including the handover to the supervisor during execution (where you monitor progress and finances from a distance);
Keep the MJOB up to date, report proactively, and contribute to policy-related activities.

You are driven by sustainability and have the ambition to further develop yourself as a project leader in sustainability and renovation. You know how to maintain an overview, work independently, and deal professionally with resistance and different interests. You are solution-oriented, a true team player, and communicate strongly towards stakeholders and colleagues.

About the company & team

SSH is a student housing provider with approximately 19,000 units in locations including Utrecht, Groningen, Rotterdam, Zwolle, and Tilburg. We provide student housing close to educational institutions for all students. But we do more than just provide housing. For a student, a room is not just a roof over their head; it is the start of a new phase in life.

You will join the O&V team, an enthusiastic team of 12 colleagues. Team O&V is responsible for the development and realization of all sustainability and maintenance projects of the SSH in Utrecht. The atmosphere in the team is pleasant, lines of communication are short, and there is a lot of collaboration with other departments. Colleagues find each other easily and are ready to help one another when needed.
