The role
As a Pipeline Construction Project Manager, you are the linchpin in the execution of complex underground pipeline projects. You are involved from the start and ensure that the project runs smoothly and successfully from design through to completion. This means that you not only monitor progress, quality, and safety, but also actively coordinate between technical execution, planning, and the management of various teams.
From the very first preparatory phase, you assess the feasibility of the project, draw up a realistic schedule, and ensure that all permits and agreements with clients, municipalities, and water boards are in order. In the execution phase, you manage a team of site managers, work preparers, project coordinators, subcontractors, and suppliers. You see the bigger picture and intervene where necessary. You are the one who makes decisions during unforeseen challenges, for example, in the event of deviations in the ground or changes in the design.
In addition to the technical and organizational aspects, you are also responsible for the financial management of your projects. You monitor costs, keep an eye on extra and reduced work, and ensure that projects are completed within budget. Innovation and process improvement play an important role in this: you actively contribute ideas for more efficient working methods and smart solutions that contribute to the quality and sustainability of our projects.
Within this role, you get the chance to make a real impact. If you do not shy away from a challenge and get energy from leading dynamic and technically challenging projects, then this position is made for you.
Functie-eisen
As a Pipeline Construction Project Manager, you are not only decisive, entrepreneurial, and proactive yourself, but you also demonstrate exemplary behavior to your colleagues within the project team. Additionally, you lead the project team, providing direction and guidance so that maximum contribution is made to the project and financial results. You are result-oriented and thus focused on achieving objectives; you intervene in a timely manner and work closely with the management at the locations. About the company & team
Strukton Civiel Nederland realizes sustainable projects in civil infrastructure. Collaboration is central to everything we do. Our strength lies in the combination of technical expertise, national impact, and connection with the local environment. We work together with local, regional, and national clients throughout the Netherlands.
Are you a driven project manager who likes to take the reins during challenging underground projects? As a Pipeline Construction Project Manager, you will take charge of the execution of our projects throughout the country. From drinking water transport and wastewater transport to process water transport pipelines, you ensure that everything runs smoothly, with a strong focus on results and collaboration.
You will start at a location near you to get to know the team and the way of working well. After that, you will primarily be found at project locations or a location that is convenient for you to reach. Our projects vary in complexity and scale, involving clients such as Vitens, Evides, Oasen, and various water boards. Municipalities, provinces, and neighborhood associations also play a role in our trajectories, and on larger projects, you will work closely with an environmental manager to ensure everything is managed properly.
A no-nonsense mentality prevails within the team. We communicate openly, give direct feedback, and love a practical approach. No unnecessary formalities, but a clear focus on achieving results. If you get energy from dynamics, responsibility, and a close-knit team where you can truly make an impact, then this is the challenge for you.
