The role
Our construction law practice in Amsterdam is growing rapidly - and that is why we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced construction law attorney who wants to help build a leading practice. In this role, you will work on challenging, high-quality files for, among others, property developers, contractors, clients, and advisors.
You advise on and litigate complex construction projects in, among others, renewable energy (wind and solar farms), infrastructure (highways, locks, rail), offices, retail, and industrial installations. You work with various national and international contract forms such as DBFM(O), UAV 2012, Design & Build (UAV‑GC 2025), and FIDIC. You litigate both before civil courts and in arbitration (NAI, ICC, and the Board of Arbitration for the Construction Industry).
DLA Piper is among the top in the field of construction law and advises various leading builders both domestically and abroad. The practice continues to grow - through long-term relationships as well as new international opportunities. This offers you plenty of room to specialize, take responsibility, and actively contribute to the further development of our practice, nationally and internationally.
You work in a specialized, ambitious, and close-knit team where quality, collaboration, and diversity are central. There is much room for individual initiative, entrepreneurship, and the strengthening of client relationships. Thanks to our combination of construction law, arbitration, and procedural law expertise, we can optimally support clients in the most complex disputes and contracts.
What you'll do
- Working on diverse construction law files within a committed, ambitious, and diverse team
- Combination of litigation (civil court, arbitration) and advising/negotiating on contracts for new construction projects
- Guiding and coaching junior colleagues
- Contributing to knowledge development (presentations, case law lunches, publications, professional associations)
- Actively contributing to client relationships, practice growth, and further external profiling of our construction law and arbitration practice
