Help build Amsterdam!
From Elements Amsterdam and The Bridge to the expansion of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel: for more than 100 years, Kondor Wessels Amsterdam has been building the city of tomorrow.
As an urban developer, we realize complex residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in Amsterdam and the region. Building in the city requires craftsmanship, collaboration, and smart organization. Space is scarce, interests diverge, and every project has its own challenges. That is exactly where we make the difference.
For our growing project portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager. You oversee the whole picture, bring people and interests together, and translate complex challenges into achievable solutions. In doing so, you will be given the trust, freedom, and responsibility to successfully realize projects together with your team.
As Construction Project Manager, you are integrally responsible for one or more complex residential and commercial construction projects in Amsterdam and the region. You are involved from the design and preparation phase and maintain control through to completion.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
leading complex construction projects from preparation to completion;
managing and guiding the project team;
monitoring planning, budget, quality, safety, and yield;
coordinating engineering, preparation, and execution;
maintaining relationships with clients, advisors, suppliers, and subcontractors;
identifying and managing risks and opportunities;
steering based on contractual agreements, project results, and customer satisfaction.
You maintain an overview, ensure clear decision-making, and adjust course in a timely manner. In this way, you realize projects together with your team within the agreed planning, quality, and financial frameworks.
With us, you do not work on standard projects, but on projects that visibly contribute to the development of Amsterdam. Projects where people will soon live, work, and stay.
Think of:
Elements Amsterdam;
The Bridge Amsterdam;
the expansion of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel;
large-scale residential developments;
complex urban commercial construction;
transformation and renovation projects.
We combine the driving force of VolkerWessels with the mentality of an Amsterdam builder. You work in compact teams, with short lines, direct communication, and a high degree of ownership. The people making decisions stand close to the project.
Additionally, we have been working with a fixed group of construction partners for many years. As a result, teams are well-coordinated and we can realize projects efficiently, safely, and at a high quality level. These long-term collaborations ensure trust, continuity, and a pleasant way of working.
You will be given the space to make decisions independently, show initiative, and further develop yourself.
Projects that you can drive past with pride later and say: 'I helped build that.'
Do you want to lead challenging construction projects that visibly contribute to the city of tomorrow? And does an organization appeal to you in which entrepreneurship, collaboration, and trust are central? Then we would love to meet you.
Apply directly or contact our HR department for an informal introduction.
