You know how to keep a construction site running. But are you ready for projects that demand just a little more from you? More technicality, more logistical challenges, more parties, and above all: more responsibility? As a construction site manager at Dura Vermeer Bouw & Vastgoed Amsterdam, you will work on complex residential and utility projects in the Amsterdam metropolitan region. Projects where you don't just execute what is on paper, but where your knowledge and experience are decisive for how we get things done on-site. You will be given the space to organize your work in your own way, together with a project team you can rely on. And if you want to further develop yourself, for example towards a senior site manager or construction site manager? Then we offer plenty of opportunities to take that next step.
As a construction site manager, you are one of the driving forces on the construction site. You know what is happening on-site, maintain an overview, and ensure that safety, quality, and planning are in order every day. You coordinate the activities, manage colleagues, partners, and subcontractors, and communicate intensively with, among others, work preparation and project management. This aligns with the internal site manager profile of Dura Vermeer.
But with us, site management goes beyond just monitoring the schedule.
The projects you work on are complex. Think of urban residential construction, large-scale apartment complexes, and utility construction where technology, construction logistics, environment, and various disciplines come together. Within Bouw & Vastgoed Amsterdam, we work on residential, utility, and area development projects in Greater Amsterdam. That means we also need your craftsmanship. You identify bottlenecks before they become a problem, think along with smart solutions, and dare to make choices. We provide you with the responsibility and trust to do exactly that.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
the daily organization and management of activities on the construction site;
monitoring safety, quality, progress, and planning;
managing and coordinating subcontractors and construction partners;
identifying risks and bottlenecks and solving them together with the project team;
coordinating with work preparation, project management, and other disciplines;
ensuring everyone on-site knows what needs to be done and that agreements are met.
How you do it? You are given a lot of freedom in that. We are not looking for a site manager who only ticks off a schedule, but someone who takes responsibility and, together with his or her team, moves the project a little further forward every day.
And you are not alone. Depending on the size and complexity of a project, you will work independently or together with, for example, a senior site manager or construction site manager.
Do you mainly work within residential construction right now? Then we also invite you to respond. We do consider it important that you make a conscious choice for a next step. Our projects can be larger and more complex than you are used to, with more stakeholders, technical disciplines, and logistical challenges. If that is precisely what appeals to you and you want to grow further in the site management profession, we would love to talk to you.
Then we are curious about you! You can apply directly via our website using the application button below the vacancy.
Email or call our corporate recruiter Stephanie de Breuk via s.d.breuk@duravermeer.nl or 06-81388280.
You will be working at Dura Vermeer Bouw and Vastgoed Amsterdam, a developing builder in the Greater Amsterdam region. We work here on residential construction, utility construction, area development, renovation, and transformation, among other things. The projects in this region are diverse and complex. And that is precisely what makes working in Amsterdam interesting.
You will work on projects where you, as a site manager, are truly challenged technically and organizationally. In doing so, you benefit from the possibilities of a large construction company, but you work daily in a project team with short lines of communication. Within Bouw & Vastgoed Amsterdam, the various disciplines work closely together and there is a lot of responsibility within the teams.
Above all, we find it important that you enjoy going to your project. That you have colleagues around you to brainstorm with, that you are given the trust to make decisions, and that you can continue to develop yourself.
Do you want to deepen your expertise as a site manager? We would love that. Do you want to grow towards a senior site manager or construction site manager in the long term? We will discuss that with you as well. Dura Vermeer explicitly focuses on development opportunities and career growth for site managers.
