Senior Data & BI Specialist

We are not looking for a specialist who only makes dashboards, but rather someone who oversees the entire data landscape: from the technical unlocking of source data and the setting up of our Microsoft Fabric data platform to modeling data and translating it into reliable reports and insights.

As a Senior Data & BI Specialist at Countus, you will help with the further development of our data platform and our BI environment. You will work on the technical foundation upon which reliable management information can be built: unlocking data from various source systems, setting up and managing data pipelines, modeling data, and ensuring quality, security, and definitions. From that foundation, you will work together with colleagues and the business to provide reports and analyses that are truly used in operations, tactics, and strategy.

You enjoy not only responding to reporting requests but actively helping to build the underlying data base. You look at the entire chain: from source data and data quality to definitions, models, reports, and decision-making. In this way, you help Countus grow step by step towards a mature and internally secured data team.

Your duties include

• Unlocking source data from various systems and making it reliably available within Microsoft Fabric;

• Setting up and managing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse or lakehouse solutions;

• Monitoring data quality, security, privacy, logging, and authorizations;

• Translating data into clear data models, business logic, and semantic models;

• Collaborating with data owners and process owners on unambiguous KPI definitions and reports;

• Translating information needs into dashboards, reports, and analyses;

• Validating insights with the business and advising on the use of data;

• Connecting business, IT, data owners, and colleagues within Functional Management & ICT.

• A salary of € 4,430 to € 6,545.19 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your experience, plus 8.4% holiday allowance;

You will work within Functional Management & ICT, in a team of approximately 10 colleagues, each with their own expertise. There are currently two BI specialists working within the team. Together, you will ensure that employees are supported in a proactive manner and can effectively use the various applications and systems within Countus.

Within the team, hard work is done, but there is also room for fun and socializing. Colleagues seek each other out, work together on common goals, and regularly do things together. You will be given the space to work independently, share knowledge, and help build the further development of data and BI within Countus.
