• Unlocking source data from various systems within the Microsoft Fabric data platform;

• Developing and managing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse or lakehouse solutions;

• Monitoring data quality, security, privacy, and authorizations;

• Modeling data and developing semantic models and business logic;

• Retrieving and translating information needs into dashboards, reports, and analyses;

• Collaborating with data owners, process owners, and colleagues to realize consistent KPIs and reports.

What will my work as a Medior Data & BI Specialist look like?

As a Medior Data & BI Specialist, you are co-responsible for developing and managing the data foundation of Countus. You ensure that data from various sources becomes reliably available and, together with colleagues, translate this into valuable reports, analyses, and management information.

You work for Countus and support the organization with reliable data, reports, and insights used at operational, tactical, and strategic levels. Together with colleagues, you ensure that decision-making is based on consistent and qualitative data.

Through collaboration with data owners, process owners, IT, and colleagues from Functional Management & ICT, you influence the entire data chain: from source data to management information.

You recognize yourself in:

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in the direction of IT, Data, Informatics, or a similar field;

• Approximately 3 years of experience in a BI, data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar data role;

• Experience with SQL and unlocking and transforming data from various sources;

• Knowledge of Python for analysis, automation, or data engineering;

• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data warehousing, or lakehouse concepts;

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Synapse, Power BI, or similar technology;

• The ability to explain technical choices understandably to colleagues from the business;

• The ambition to further develop yourself within the broader field of data.

You will work within Functional Management in Zwolle, where you collaborate with colleagues who each have their own expertise in the field of functional management, data, and ICT. This team is part of Functional Management & ICT, where various specialisms work together to provide optimal support to employees.

The team currently consists of 10 colleagues and is managed by team leader Henrieke. Hard work is done, but there is also room for fun and relaxation. Lines of communication are short and colleagues are happy to help each other. With 25 offices within the Countus Group, there are also plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself, specialize, or work on new projects.
