The role

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women. In the Netherlands, 1 in 7 women get breast cancer. The population screening is intended to detect breast cancer as early as possible. The chance of a successful treatment is then greater. Also, a less invasive treatment is often required. During the examination, X-rays of the breasts (mammography) are taken to detect tumors. Women between the ages of 50 and 75 can decide for themselves whether they want to be examined: participation in the population screening is voluntary and free of charge.

At Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland, you will work at one of our 69 locations: the 10 permanent or 59 mobile units where we perform the breast cancer population screening. You will find our locations spread across the entire Netherlands. You will independently perform mammographic examinations on our clients. You will work with specialized technologies to produce high-quality X-rays. Together with your team, you run your (mobile) examination center: one moment you are welcoming clients and the next moment you are performing the mammographies. With us, you will be surrounded by well-trained, expert, and enthusiastic employees who really want to make a difference. We are proud of our work and our contribution to society. With us, you will find meaningful work with market-competitive compensation in a pleasant organization where everything is well-organized.

What you'll do

  • You ensure the perfect photo: you assess the technical quality and diagnostic value of the images. You also ensure the classification of the data in an automated system.

  • You participate in image discussions with the radiologist, intercollegiate quality checks, and continuing education.

also nice

#also nice: you can work both full-time and part-time with us and we always work according to a fixed daily schedule. You can also grow into a trainer role, then you will train our new mammography technicians!
