For the colorectal cancer screening program, we are immediately looking for a healthcare quality auditor for 24 hours per week in the South-West Netherlands region.

Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland (BVO NL) carries out the screening programs for breast, colorectal, and cervical cancer with the aim of detecting cancer at an early stage. We do this by conducting high-quality population screening to realize health gains and reduce mortality. Are you looking for a job in which you and your work matter? Then read on quickly.

The colorectal cancer screening program (BVO DK) is intended for men and women aged 55 to 75 inclusive. Every year, approximately 2.2 million people are invited for colorectal cancer screening. BVO NL is responsible for the implementation of the colorectal cancer screening program, including inviting the target group, ensuring the analysis of the FIT test, providing the result, and any referral for follow-up examination in a hospital/coloscopy center. We are also responsible for quality within the chain, and for this purpose, audits are performed periodically. The quality auditors have a proactive monitoring role, manage an active relationship with chain partners, signal and coordinate with Regional Coordinating Gastroenterologists (RCMDL) and Regional Coordinating Pathologists (RCP) regarding content and developments at the coloscopy centers and pathology departments. Together with RCMDL and RCP, as a quality auditor you form the audit team, in which you are the expert in the field of quality management systems, and together you test whether the affiliated coloscopy centers and the involved pathology organizations meet the stated (quality) requirements.

Our core values engaged, reliable, and accessible are reflected in our internal organization and our relationship with the outside world. They provide us with direction to constantly improve our work and our organization. #Togetherformillions!

What you'll do

  • Planning, preparing, and performing the audits together with the RCMDL and RCP;

  • Proactively monitoring the performance of the coloscopy centers and pathology organizations outside of the audits;

  • Managing an active relationship with chain partners;

  • Signaling developments among the chain partners in relation to (the potential risks for) the BVO DK;

  • Providing (periodic) monitoring reports for the coloscopy centers and pathology organizations;

  • Providing requested and unrequested advice to management, RCMDL, and RCP regarding all facets of the audits;

  • Providing the annual evaluation of the audits and jointly ensuring adequate audit planning for the coloscopy centers and pathology organizations;

  • Active participation in various meetings such as the quality auditors' meeting, and the RCMDL and RCP meetings;

  • Participating in projects and/or issues in the field of the BVO DK as well as for BVO NL upon request.
