As a Shipping & Delivery specialist, you ensure that all our customers receive their package as quickly as possible. The products that arrive via our suppliers are entered into the system, to then be sorted as quickly as possible and sent off to the customer. As soon as an order comes in, you gather the correct products, put them in the package, and pack this box carefully and precisely. In a single day, many packages pass through your hands destined for various customers in different countries. You ensure that no sloppy package leaves the door!

No two days are the same in the Shipping and Delivery Team. The work is very varied, and in addition to preparing orders, you have many other responsibilities. For instance, one day you might ensure that received goods are registered in the system, or you might prepare subscriptions so that your colleagues from the Subscription Team can get straight to work when we receive an order. Additionally, you help out with various extra tasks in the department, such as occasional moves. In short: a very varied and challenging job!

You are a hard worker. You can handle a bit of pressure: Are there still 2500 packages that need to be packed? This is no reason for you to panic, and you get straight to work! Moreover, you continue to perform like a champion under pressure, because no package is ever swapped or incomplete. The sense of teamwork within the Shipping & Delivery Team is very important, but you find working in a team only more fun and are a true team player. Your colleagues can trust you blindly.

You cycle to the office with your colleague Hugo, located right in the middle of the Grote Markt. We kick off with the daily start, in which Ruben tells you what to expect today. A large delivery of products is arriving today, so there will be plenty of hard work! After the daily start, you get straight to work, because in addition to the incoming delivery, many packages also need to go out the door. In the morning, you start by registering the new delivery of Samsung devices. As soon as they are in the system, you prepare the subscription orders so that the Subscription Team can follow up. After lunch, you work on the orders placed today. You pick the correct products, after which they go into a box and receive a shipping label. Today, too, we have fulfilled the promise 'ordered today, delivered tomorrow'! To wrap up, you have a drink with some colleagues in the canteen and play a little table tennis tournament. On to tomorrow!

This is what the application process looks like:

• You can apply up to and including Friday, October 23rd. Applying after this date is also possible, but your application will then be included with the next group. After your application, we will assess it on its content. It may be that we contact you by telephone in the meantime to ask some additional questions.

• If you start working at Belsimpel, you will begin with an extensive onboarding period in which you will be trained as a specialist. The training sessions are primarily on Monday evenings and the schedule is easy to combine with your student life. You work a maximum of 16 hours per week and even during the training weeks, you can plan your hours flexibly.

You start with the aforementioned basic tasks. When you have been employed for a while, there is the possibility to grow to a higher level, in which you receive more tasks and more responsibilities. Ultimately, it is possible to grow into the role of coordinator, where you help colleagues with difficult issues and are coordinating during the shifts.

Working in the Shipping & Delivery team also offers not only growth opportunities within the team itself, but it is also a solid foundation to grow into another (study-related) position during or after your studies! Sounds cool, right?

• You are studying at HBO/University level, or you have just completed your HAVO/VWO;

• You are available to work at least 16 hours per week, including at least 1 evening and 1 day part on the weekend;

• You are available to work with us for a longer period of time;

• You are a go-getter and see the work that needs to be done; sitting still for a day is not for you;

• You work neatly and find it important that every package is handled with care.

Fluency in the Dutch language is required for this role; candidates will be assessed accordingly.
