At Gomibo, we build custom solutions for the unique challenges we encounter. With this, we create the tools that drive our webshops in more than 30 European countries. As a Medior Frontend Engineer (Software Engineer II), you will further develop yourself as a technical leader within the team.

You write code, contribute ideas regarding architecture, and help your peers. Together with backend engineers, product designers, and product managers, you work on features that make a real impact and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of frontend and backend engineers, product designers, and product managers. You work in an environment where you learn from new technical challenges every day. You work on diverse frontend projects: from building reusable components to improving our performance and design system.

Examples of things you can do:

• Build frontend features in React and TypeScript

• Refactor legacy components into modern, scalable solutions

• Contribute to our design system and component reusability

• Solve performance issues and tackle bottlenecks

• Perform code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers

• Contribute ideas regarding roadmap priorities and project planning

• Mentor junior engineers in their technical development

● Frontend: React, React Router v7 (Remix v2), TypeScript, Vite, CSS, Jest, Storybook, Chromatic

● Platform: GitLab for version control, code reviews, CI, and collaboration

● Infra: Docker, Sentry, Kubernetes, Prometheus

● Methodology: Agile workflow, daily stand-ups, pair programming, and a culture of giving and receiving constructive feedback

We work in small teams - usually 5-6 engineers, one product manager, and one designer. Code reviews are standard. We recognize that there is legacy code - and we tackle it proactively. We believe that the best idea always wins, regardless of who it comes from.

We expect:

• Experience building React applications that are used in production

• Understanding of component architecture and design patterns

• Experience with tools such as Docker, Vite, and GitLab (CI/CD, code reviews)

• Familiarity with state management and performance optimization

• Good communication skills and a sharp eye for technical choices

• Passion for clean, maintainable, and testable code
