Business Risk Manager HR

• HBO+ or WO level of working and thinking.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience within Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, Audit, or a similar environment.
• Affinity with HR processes and People Risk issues.
• Affinity with privacy issues, such as guiding DPIAs.
• Experience with risk management methodologies such as strategic risk assessments (SRA), change risk assessments (CRA), risk control self-assessments (RCSA), risk acceptances, KRIs, RAS, and issue management.
• Experience collaborating with second- and third-line functions.

It is a plus if you:

• Have experience within the financial sector
• Have knowledge of HR-related laws and regulations, privacy, and non-financial risk
• Have demonstrable knowledge of privacy, risk & information security, including CRISC, CIPP/E, CISM, CISSP, or similar

• This position falls in scale 11, with a gross monthly salary between € 5,946.23 and € 7,928.30 (based on 36 hours per week). Furthermore, we offer:

What will you do?

As Business Risk Manager HR, you are the trusted advisor who advises and challenges the HR management team in identifying, managing, and monitoring risks within the HR domain. You play a key role in further professionalizing People Risk Management, the collaboration with the second line, and strengthening the risk & control culture within HR. In this way, you contribute to a future-proof organization in which both People Risks and operational HR risks are demonstrably in control.

You develop and strengthen the People Risk Control framework, act as the connecting link between HR and the second line, and support teams in further professionalizing operational risk management. In doing so, the responsibility for risks, control measures, and advisory requests lies emphatically with the teams and policy and process owners. You work at the intersection of HR, governance, and risk management and have a direct influence on decision-making within the organization. Your responsibilities:

• You coordinate People Risk Management within the organization. This means that you report on People Risk Management within the bank and act as the driver for defining concrete improvement actions.
• You develop and manage the People Risk Standard.
• You facilitate risk assessments and support the drafting of the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and risk reports.
• You are the first point of contact for the second line, including NFRM, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

Operational HR risk management, such as risks within HR processes and HR services, including privacy, compliance, information security, and HR systems:

• You support and advise policy and process owners in strengthening operational risk management.
• You facilitate Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and support issue, incident, and audit management.
• You guide the follow-up of improvement measures and support teams with risk, compliance, and control issues.
• You collaborate on the delivery of privacy documents, such as keeping the personal data processing register & data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) up to date.
• You stimulate ownership and risk awareness within the first line.

Professionalization and collaboration:

• You support the implementation of standards, frameworks, and working methods from the second line.
• You identify opportunities for improvement and translate these into concrete improvements.
• You strengthen the collaboration between HR, NFRM, Compliance, and Audit.
