• HBO/WO working and thinking level
• Demonstrable experience in metadata management, data governance, data lineage, metadata modeling, and data classification, preferably with Collibra
• Experience in a leading or coordinating role, in which you have substantively managed a team and set priorities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to transfer knowledge to both more and less experienced data professionals
• Affinity with the technical side of data management, such as metadata ingestion via Collibra connectors
• Knowledge of SQL and Python

This position falls in scale 11, with a gross monthly salary between € 5,946 and € 7,928.30 (based on 36 hours per week).

As Capability Lead Metadata Management at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you will provide direction on how metadata is managed and utilized within our organization. You will lead a specialized team and ensure that metadata forms the foundation for transparency, data quality, and reliable insights throughout the bank.

Your responsibilities are:

• You provide substantive direction to the Metadata Management capability team and coordinate your team in the recording and management of metadata.
• You develop and manage the roadmap for metadata management, establish governance guidelines, and implement metadata processes that are broadly supported within the organization.
• You ensure insight into data lineage: from origin to end-use in reports and analyses, and monitor the coherence between different subjects and systems together with the enterprise data architect.
• You work with and optimize our metadata tooling (Collibra) and translate technical possibilities into concrete improvements within your capability.
• You provide training and guidance in the field of metadata management and act as a strong sparring partner for data specialists, combining substantive depth with the ability to bring others along in your vision.

As Capability Lead Metadata Management at ASN Bank, you are both a subject matter expert and the leader of your own capability team. You provide direction on the substantive content within the team, determine priorities, and ensure that metadata is correctly recorded, managed, and utilized.
