What we're looking for

Completed WO Master's degree, preferably in the direction of Business Administration, Legal, Finance, Sustainable Development, or a related field.
Experience within the sustainability domain, preferably within a banking organization or consultancy.
A vision on the future of sustainability, innovations, and legislation.
Experience with sustainable finance and managing sustainability policy.
Experience in drafting reports and analyses and in making recommendations for improvements and presenting these to ExBo/RvC.
Demonstrable experience in change management, managing cultural changes within organizations, including motivating, involving, and recruiting new employees.
Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and implement innovative solutions.

What you'll get

This position falls in scale 12, with a gross monthly salary between € 6827,- and € 9102,- based on 36 hours per week. And this is what you will also get from us:

What you'll do

What are you going to do?
As Lead Policy and Sustainable Finance, you are responsible for further developing and strengthening sustainability within the organization, drafting and keeping our sustainability policy up to date, shaping and supporting our sustainable finance propositions, and performing analyses and engagement. You safeguard expertise, stimulate innovation, and ensure that your team is optimally equipped to respond to rapidly changing market conditions and regulations.

Your responsibilities:

Leading a team of specialists and ensuring knowledge development and professional growth.
Developing, monitoring, and evaluating developments from regulations and commitments into policy, frameworks, and standards.
Maintaining an overview of implementation progress and coordinating that policy, regulations, and commitments are implemented and applied in a uniform manner within the bank.
Advising other departments within the bank on the interpretation and development of sustainable finance propositions.
Identifying and steering towards risks, reporting, compliance, and governance issues.
Stimulating continuous improvement and innovation and optimizing collaboration with other departments to integrate sustainability into the organization.
Advising management and the board on strategic choices and professional impact.

This is where you will work
The Sustainability team (16 FTE) is part of the COO domain. In this position, you report to our Director Sustainability. The team develops the sustainability strategy and policy and enables the bank to execute this effectively and supports business units with sustainable finance propositions. You will collaborate extensively with other teams within COO, but also with sales and marketing and domains outside of it, such as the CRO and CFO domains.
