• Completed academic master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably at an investment bank, corporate finance firm, or consultancy firm within financial services.
• Proven experience with the acquisition and structuring of loan portfolios is a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and extensive experience in financial modeling.
• Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint; you present complex subject matter clearly to senior management.

As a Senior Balance Sheet & Portfolio Transactions analyst at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you will advise senior management on potential strategic portfolio transactions and drive initiatives that contribute to optimal and efficient balance sheet management.

What will you do?
Within Balance Sheet Management (BSM), you will work on issues that truly matter. You will coordinate the financial analyses of portfolio transactions, such as portfolio acquisitions and sales, originate-to-distribute, and forward flow transactions. In this role, you are responsible for the valuation and determining the financial impact of these transactions on the balance sheet, profit and loss account, and capital and liquidity position, including all key financial metrics. In doing so, you will work closely with the Corporate Development team, which handles the overall coordination of the transactions.

But your role extends beyond transactions alone. You will take the lead in initiating and coordinating strategically important, cross-departmental initiatives. Think of developing an optimal funding strategy in close cooperation between BSM, the commercial side, and Financial Markets, or initiating capital management (trans)actions. Initiatives that directly contribute to the growth ambition and strategy of ASN Bank.

• You coordinate the financial analyses of portfolio transactions from start to finish and ensure the timely and accurate provision of information to all parties involved.
• You value loan portfolios and sharply map out the financial impact of portfolio transactions, translating this into clear, substantiated advice for senior management.
• You analyze market developments and proactively signal opportunities for ASN Bank.
• You advise on the optimal deployment of capital and liquidity, and the desired balance sheet composition from a capital and liquidity perspective.
• You initiate and drive (cross-departmental) initiatives aimed at optimal and efficient balance sheet management.
• You contribute to regular activities and ad hoc issues in the field of liquidity and capital management. This includes ILAAP, ICAAP, stress testing, recovery plan, and resolution planning.
