Capability Lead Reference Data Management

This position falls in scale 10, with a gross monthly salary between € 5,179.72 and € 6,906.29 (based on 36 hours per week).

As Capability Lead Reference Data Management at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you will provide direction to the quality and consistency of our reference data. You will lead a specialized (virtual) team and ensure that reference data is reliable, unambiguous, and broadly applicable as a foundation for a data-driven organization.

As Capability Lead Reference Data Management at ASN Bank, you are both a subject matter expert and the leader of your own (virtual) capability team. You provide direction on the substantive content within the team, safeguard the quality and further development of our reference data server through your policies and processes, and ensure that your expertise aligns with the broader data organization. Within our data domain, multiple capability leads work together to strengthen one another. You will take the lead on Reference Data Management, thereby contributing directly to reliable and consistent data throughout the entire ASN Bank organization.

Your responsibilities are:

• You provide substantive direction to the Reference Data Management capability, determine priorities, and monitor progress—without HR responsibility, but with clear control over what the team undertakes and delivers.
• You develop and manage the roadmap for reference data management, aligned with the strategic goals of ASN Bank and in close cooperation with the other capability leads.
• You safeguard the quality, consistency, and unambiguity of reference data and ensure supported standards that are broadly applied within the organization.
• You work together with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate reference data into workable and future-proof solutions, taking the substantive lead.
• You work closely with the functional management of our reference server to ensure that business requirements are effectively implemented in the technology.
• You identify developments and bottlenecks regarding reference data and translate these into concrete improvements within your capability, with an eye for the coherence with adjacent domains such as Data Governance and Metadata Management.

You are an experienced data professional who is not only substantively strong in the field of reference data but also dares to take the lead. You know how to steer a team, set priorities, and get people moving. You combine in-depth knowledge of reference data with the ability to think strategically and bring stakeholders at all levels along.

Furthermore, you have:

• HBO/WO working and thinking level, preferably in a field such as Computer Science, Business Administration, or Data Management
• At least 5 years of experience in data management, with demonstrable experience in a leading or coordinating role
• In-depth knowledge of reference data management and data standards, and preferably also an affinity with adjacent domains such as Data Model Management or Data Quality
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business and management
• In-depth knowledge of and several years of experience with Tibco EBX
