Business Risk Manager

• Minimum HBO level and at least 8 years of relevant work experience as an auditor, compliance officer, or (operational) risk manager.
• In-depth knowledge of business risk management, compliance, and risk issues in the financial sector.
• Knowledge of and affinity with data and reporting processes within the CFO domain.
• Specific knowledge of relevant laws and regulations is a plus (e.g., CRR/CRD, CSRD, IFRS)

• Preferably knowledge of and affinity with recording in risk management tooling (GRC/IRM tooling).

As a Business Risk Manager at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you are the trusted advisor who challenges and supports the management team in managing risks. You make an impact on a conscious risk culture within Finance, Data & Reporting.

What will you do?
As a Business Risk Manager at ASN Bank, you will get straight to work as a risk coach for the Finance, Data & Reporting management team. From this position, you are in the middle of the daily business and advise on all non-financial risks: from IT and information security to privacy and process risks. You are the link between the first and second lines and the driving force behind a conscious risk culture.

Your responsibilities are:

• You are a sparring partner for the management team and challenge them to manage risks proactively.
• You implement risk policy and fulfill a bridging function with second-line parties and other stakeholders.
• You build a culture in which employees deal consciously with risks and risk management is second nature.
• You perform risk analyses on key risk indicators, such as the effectiveness of key controls and the status of audit issues.
• With your insights, risk analyses, and reports, you help the management team to achieve objectives and prevent incidents.
