Mobility Graduation Internship

For the period from February to July 2027, we are looking for a student who will be graduating on a topic to be determined in collaboration, within the themes of road safety, behavior, cycling, or pedestrians.

As a graduation intern, you will participate within the Road Safety & Active Mobility team at Arcadis. Our team works on future-proof and safe mobility, with the road user at the center. We work on issues such as road safety, cycling and pedestrian policy, behavior, research and evaluation, data, and the design of public space. In doing so, we combine Dutch knowledge and experience with projects both domestically and abroad.

During your graduation internship, you will work independently on a current issue that aligns with both your studies and the substantive themes of our team. Possible topics include, for example, the 30 km/h zone and road safety, the use of new data sources for road safety analyses, cycling potential, congestion and speed differences on cycle paths, bicycle parking, or the design and use of cycle streets. We will determine the precise topic in consultation, so that there is room for your own interests and ideas.

In addition to your graduation research, you will get the chance to get acquainted with the work of a consultant. You will become part of the team and can join projects, meetings, and substantive discussions. This is how you learn how theoretical knowledge and research are translated into concrete advice and solutions for, for example, municipalities, provinces, and other clients. The goal is that you not only achieve a strong graduation result but also gain experience with the diverse aspects of the consulting profession.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious HBO or WO student with an interest in mobility, road safety, and/or active mobility. You enjoy investigating an issue independently, are analytical, and at the same time enjoy seeking collaboration with others. With us, you will be given the space to take initiative, to deepen your substantive knowledge, and to further develop yourself within a professional and committed team.
