You will become part of the Civil& Rail business unit in Amersfoort. Here, we work daily on complex designs and improving rail infrastructure. We are looking for a driven professional who can strengthen our team and shape the future of rail design together with us.

The advisory group in which you work offers strategic and technical solutions to make infrastructure more efficient and sustainable. With your innovative ideas, you contribute to the improvement of our processes and projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
You have several years of demonstrable experience with complex design and engineering projects. As an overhead line designer, you know how to bring structure to complicated issues and translate technical challenges into clear, applicable solutions. You work in a solution-oriented manner and regularly introduce innovative ideas to overcome both technical and organizational bottlenecks. You are a true team player who coordinates easily with colleagues and other disciplines (both within the Netherlands and abroad) and always prioritizes the customer's interest. With strong communication skills, you convey your expertise convincingly to internal and external stakeholders. A relevant completed education and several years of practical experience within design, engineering, and project management complete your profile.

Role description:
In this position, you will be involved in the engineering of overhead lines both Nationally and Internationally. It is your challenge to translate customer requests into concrete solutions. You will look for the question behind the question: what does the customer truly need? In doing so, you ensure an integrally coordinated design and work closely with colleagues from various disciplines, such as track and rail, cables and pipelines, train signaling, various installations, and countries.

Your work has impact. Not only on a technical level, but also on the living environment of the Netherlands.

In addition to designing, your activities consist of:

• Preparing contract documents.
• Performing strength calculations.
• Contributing to our digital ambition and developing new design technologies.
• The integral coordination of designs with different disciplines.
• Directing our GEC colleagues in India.
• Quality assurance.
