Graduation Internship: Financial Consultant Civil Engineering (GWW)

Within the Civil Engineering (GWW - Grond-, Weg- en Waterbouw) Business Unit at 4PS, we are looking for an intern to conduct research into financial reporting within our software. During this internship, you will look from the customer's perspective: what do they need, what do we currently offer, and where is there room for improvement?

You will investigate the way customers use financial insights in their daily project management. In doing so, you will not only look at how customers use our software, but also at what they are missing and what prevents them from utilizing all functionalities optimally. You will research the gap between customer wishes and our current software functionality. There is room here to apply your own interests and initiatives to this, to truly become the owner of your assignment.

You will get to know our software and actively engage in conversation with customers and consultants. You will visit the companies that use our product to understand how they use financial reporting within their organization. Based on these insights, you will analyze which reports are used, which are used less or not at all, and why that is the case.

An important part of the internship is researching adoption: not every customer uses everything we offer. You will look into why this is. Is the functionality insufficiently known, too complex, does it not align with practice, or are components simply missing? The focus lies on translating customer needs into clear, usable insights and concrete points for improvement.

• Researching how financial reports are currently used within civil engineering and infrastructure companies;
• Mapping out what customers need;
• Conducting interviews with customers and 4PS consultants;
• Analyzing where our software and reports align and where they do not;
• Determining what improvement possibilities exist for the financial reports.

You will join the Civil Engineering Business Unit within 4PS. The working atmosphere is dynamic and collegial: collaboration and sociability go hand in hand. Because every customer has different wishes and expectations, no two days are the same.

This internship requires independence, and in return, there is a great deal of freedom and trust. You may work from home, combine this with customer visits and working at the office, and have the space to shape the content of your internship yourself.
