Learn more. Do more. More career. That is an internship at Dura Vermeer.
Finally, you can apply theory in practice: you are looking forward to it, and so are we! As an intern at Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Den Bosch, you will get the chance to be right in the middle of the action. No fetching coffee or paperwork; together with our project manager, you will dive into the practice of sustainability. Your contribution counts, literally and figuratively!
Sustainability plays an increasingly large role within the construction sector. Think of themes such as circularity, CO₂ reduction, climate adaptation, biodiversity, sustainable materials, and future-proof construction. Within Dura Vermeer, we work every day on projects that contribute to a more sustainable living environment. During this graduation internship, you will get the chance to work on a current issue within sustainability. We will coordinate the exact topic together, so that it aligns with your studies, interests, and the challenges playing out within our organization. You will investigate a practical issue and search for opportunities, improvements, or innovative solutions. In doing so, you will work together with colleagues from various disciplines and will be given the space to shape your research independently. Not theoretical research to be put in a drawer, but a graduation project that can truly be of value to our projects and organization.
During your graduation internship, you will be involved in, among other things:
Investigating a current sustainability issue within Dura Vermeer;
Analyzing existing working methods, processes, or projects;
Speaking with colleagues and other stakeholders to map out opportunities and challenges;
Collecting, processing, and analyzing relevant information and data;
Developing practical advice, improvements, or innovative solutions;
Testing the feasibility and impact of your recommendations;
Presenting your research and results to involved colleagues.
In doing this, you will work at the intersection of construction, innovation, and sustainability.
An internship allowance of €700 per month based on 40 hours per week;
You get space for your own initiatives;
Time for your school assignments/exams;
The best colleagues to learn the trade from, and they ensure an incredibly good working atmosphere;
A family business in which we stand ready for one another!
You are following a HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) program, for example in the direction of Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or similar;
You are interested in sustainability and the role it plays within the built environment;
You are curious, analytical, and enjoy conducting research;
You establish contact easily with various stakeholders;
You are independent, proactive, and available for a graduation internship of approximately 6 months (at least 4 days per week).
Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, how we look out for each other, and how we build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this. With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we belong to the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, for us, it is not about those figures. It is about people. About colleagues who work together on projects you can be proud of – iconic and close to home – and contribute to solutions for societal issues. Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with committed people. That is why we invest in good employer leadership and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and make more together with us.
