As a graduation intern within our Finance department, you will work in an international and dynamic organization. From the very first moment, you will be involved in the daily operations. At the same time, you will be given the space and guidance to work on a substantive graduation assignment.

Your graduation assignment
For your graduation research, you can choose from three assignments. In consultation, we will determine which assignment best aligns with your studies, interests, and graduation requirements.

1. Updating and optimizing the Administrative Organization and Internal Control (AO/IC)

Within Vekoma, various financial and operational processes have changed over the years due to growth, internationalization, and system developments. The assignment consists of mapping the current processes, updating the AO/IC descriptions, and identifying control risks. Based on the analysis, concrete improvement proposals will be developed to make processes more efficient, better controllable, and future-proof. The end result is complete and practically applicable AO/IC documentation, including recommendations for process optimization.

Vekoma operates internationally and therefore deals with diverse tax obligations. The assignment focuses on designing and implementing a Tax Control Framework (TCF) through which tax risks are structurally controlled. In addition to developing the framework, practical control instruments will be established, such as checklists, test forms, and periodic control templates. The goal is to make tax compliance transparent, demonstrable, and reproducible, so that periodic monitoring and reporting can take place more efficiently.

Within the financial organization, much knowledge exists regarding processes, guidelines, and working methods, but this knowledge is not always centrally recorded. The assignment consists of developing a Finance Manual in which the most important financial processes, internal guidelines, and responsibilities are described. In addition to the procedural steps, it will also be explained why certain choices were made and which risks are controlled thereby. The manual must function as a central knowledge source for both existing and new employees and contribute to uniformity, quality, and knowledge preservation within the organization.
