Working or Graduation Internship Work Preparation

For the N247 't Schouw project, we are looking for an intern who wants to experience how a complex infra project is designed, prepared, and managed. During this internship, you will participate within a multidisciplinary project team working on the realization of underpasses, a bridge, and the renewal of the N247.

The project is currently in the design and preparation phase. You will join the design teams of Infra/Civil and Technical Installations. There is room for both students who enjoy working out substantive issues and students who get energy from coordinating and connecting different disciplines. Ideally, you combine both. You will not only learn how a design comes to fruition, but also see how design comes together with environmental management, stakeholder management, contract management, and preparation for execution.

• You will contribute to the final design.
• You will support the project team by drafting and developing work and execution plans.
• You will help in coordinating activities between project management, design, environment, and sustainability.
• Applying for permits and ordering materials.
• Support with calculations and quotes.
• Contributing to the preparation and monitoring of planning, quality, and budget.

You enjoy maintaining an overview when different activities are running simultaneously and switch easily between different disciplines. You actively approach colleagues to gather information and seek coordination. Additionally, you work accurately and always keep the collective project goal in mind.

• You are following a HBO (applied sciences) or WO (university) degree in Civil Engineering, Built Environment, Engineering Management, Urban Planning, or a similar study.

• You have an interest in infrastructure projects and enjoy working together with different disciplines within a project team.
