The role

Do you want to deploy your expertise as an anesthesia technician broadly and keep it up to date? Are you looking for the perfect balance between complex oncological care and low- to medium-complexity procedures? And does it seem ideal to work at two locations that are literally a stone's throw away from each other? Then this unique, combined position at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (AVL) and Medisch Centrum Jan van Goyen is exactly what you are looking for.

As an anesthesia assistant within both the AVL and the Medisch Centrum Jan van Goyen, you will work in two different but perfectly complementary environments. At the AVL, you are involved in challenging oncological surgeries within, among others, general and reconstructive surgery, head and neck, gynecology, and urology. You continuously monitor the patient's vital functions, anticipate changes, and work closely with the anesthesiologist to ensure every complex procedure runs safely and smoothly.

At the Medisch Centrum Jan van Goyen, you experience the dynamics of a smaller-scale treatment center. Here, you are close to the patient and the team, providing anesthesiological care across various specialties such as plastic surgery, orthopedics, wound care, and ENT. The lines of communication are short, the atmosphere is accessible, and the collaboration is characterized by respect, expertise, and humor.

Where the AVL boasts a hyper-modern OR complex with robot rooms, endosuites, and 3D navigation—and plenty of opportunities to further develop within your profession—in the Medisch Centrum Jan van Goyen, you will find a close-knit team with fast decision-making and much personal attention. Both locations combine professionalism with a warm, collegial work culture. Whether you are working in a technically advanced academic environment or in a compact treatment center in the former Slotervaart Hospital: pace, efficiency, and high-quality patient care are always central.
