About Anton van Leeuwenhoek

In their own words

About the company & team

The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) is the research institute closely connected to the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, the specialist hospital for the treatment of cancer. This unique collaboration brings fundamental, translational, and clinical research together under one roof, ensuring a dynamic and inspiring working environment.

Due to the rise of Personalised Medicine, translational research is in full motion. We want to further expand the unique bridging function that pathology fulfills between the research into the mechanisms of disease and the application of that knowledge in the clinic.

The CFMPB plays a key role within translational research. We support scientists with the processing and analysis of patient material, such as paraffin blocks, frozen tissue, blood, and serum. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with analysts, pathologists, molecular biologists, programmers, and medical administrative staff. Together, we contribute to research that makes an impact on the treatment of cancer.
