Anesthesia Assistant

As an anesthesia technician within MST, you are an indispensable link in the surgical team. Together with an anesthesiologist, you ensure the highest quality of care in the OR during often complex procedures. It is a varied role because almost all specialties are represented in MST and you will encounter various patient ages. You play a major role in the general OR, and there are also opportunities to work in the Thoracic OR on a rotational basis. On weekdays, you work daytime 8.25-hour shifts. On weekday evenings and during weekends, you work on-call and standby shifts, for which compensation is provided according to the CAO. Within MST, you will be given the space to further specialize, for example in pre-operative screening (POS), acute pain service (APS), sedation practice (SPS), or through collaboration with Defense.
