Company Restaurant Staff Member

As a company restaurant staff member, you will work together with your colleagues to provide tasty lunches and handle catering for meetings, events, and receptions. With your hospitality, organizational talent, and sense of quality, you will contribute to a pleasant workday for our employees in the cancer center where care and research come together.

As a company restaurant staff member at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (AVL), you will provide daily catering for our employees in the hospital. In our company restaurant, we work according to the front-cooking concept, where various meals are prepared on the spot and served in a buffet. Experience with regenerating meals and baking par-baked bread is a plus.
In addition to providing lunch, various meetings, events, and receptions take place in our hospital where you will be responsible for the catering. Here, you will need to work carefully and be able to plan. You will also perform cleaning activities in both the kitchen and the company restaurant.

The department
The company restaurant is part of the Real Estate & Services service and falls under the Food & Beverage department. Our enthusiastic team consists of 15 colleagues. The opening hours of the company restaurant are Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. We require flexible availability due to catering activities at events that may also take place in the evenings and on weekends.

• You are available for 32 hours and preferably have experience in hospitality or a similar role.

• You preferably hold certificates regarding HACCP regulations and social hygiene.

• You have excellent command of the Dutch language and a good command of the English language.

• Knowledge of events is a plus.

• Service-oriented, hospitable, and helpful are characteristics that define you.

• You are flexible and professional!

The basis for your terms of employment is in accordance with the Cao Ziekenhuizen (Collective Labour Agreement for Hospitals). You will receive from us:

• A one-year contract for 32 hours per week, with a view to an indefinite contract.

• A gross monthly salary between € 2,630.00 and € 3,382.00 based on a 36-hour work week, corresponding to FWG 25 and depending on your experience.

• 144 vacation hours and 57 hours of Personal Life Phase Budget, based on full-time employment.

• Annual 8.33% holiday allowance and a fixed year-end bonus of 8.33%.

• A travel allowance of € 0.23 per km.

• Free parking at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, but with our bicycle scheme and discounts on public transport, we also make it attractive for you to leave the car behind.
