Junior Engineer / Installation Consultant

You have a demonstrable affinity with and knowledge of electrical engineering and you would like to further develop yourself towards design and consultancy.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You have completed an mbo 4 education in Electrical Engineering (or similar);

• Or you have approximately 4 years of experience as a (first-class or supervisory) technician in electrical engineering and have experience with building-related installations;

• You switch easily between different tasks and projects;

• You work independently, but also actively seek collaboration;

• You are proactive and dare to ask questions;

• You want to keep learning and developing yourself within the field.

Salary indication: € 3362, - € 4803, (scaling depends on your knowledge and experience).

Have you (nearly) graduated in electrical engineering, or are you already working as a technician and want to take the next step towards design and consultancy? Then this is your chance.

In this role, you will work on challenging utility projects and contribute to a growing discipline within the Building Physics and Installation Technology team.

As an Installation Consultant, you will work on the design of building-related electrical installations (high voltage/power) within utility projects. You are involved from the preliminary design through to the final design and then hand these over so that the environmental permit can be applied for by the client and the executing party can begin constructing the design. In doing so, you contribute to integral and future-proof solutions.

You switch daily between multiple projects and work closely with colleagues from various disciplines, such as building physics. This makes your work varied and substantively strong.

Location: Holten / Hybrid

Examples of the number of projects we have worked on include:

• Traffic Control Center South East Netherlands: engineering a redundant 2nd power supply, whereby mission-critical installations remained operational without uncontrolled interruption.

• Community Harbor in Amsterdam: engineering the utilities in the VO and DO phase of an apartment complex of 207 apartments with commercial ground floor.

• Provincial House Drenthe and Drents Museum: drafting a PvE (Program of Requirements) for the replacement of lighting;

• Surveillance Center: engineering the electrical installation according to Tier 3, so that the systems can be maintained without mission-critical installations becoming de-energized.

You will join an informal and committed Building Physics and Installation Technology team in Holten. The electrical engineering discipline is still small (5 people strong) and under construction, which means you have a lot of influence and can grow with it.
