As a Technical Installations Expert at Boskalis, you take charge of everything related to technology in our infrastructure projects.
Whether it concerns public lighting, traffic control systems, dynamic traffic management, or cables and pipelines: you ensure it is correct. You oversee the technology, know the practice, and drive for results. You coordinate with clients, design, and execution, and make decisions when necessary. Additionally, you are an important sounding board and sparring partner for the team. You work on projects throughout the Netherlands and sometimes in Belgium - with visible impact outside.

As a Technical Installations Expert, you hold ultimate responsibility for technical issues from tender to realization, and you also provide substantive direction to the team. During the tender phase, you analyze requirements and documents, clearly identify risks and opportunities, and advise the tender team on a realistic and competitive tender budget. After the award, you drive the development of designs and monitor the quality of design and documentation in all project phases.

You ensure effective coordination with grid operators, subcontractors, and project teams and assess technical solutions and quotes. You guide colleagues in their daily activities, share your expertise, and stimulate their further development within the field.

During execution, you maintain an overview and drive progress and quality. You do this, among other things, within leading projects such as the widening of the A2 and the redesign of the Europaweg in Leiden.

• Analyzing requirements in the tender phase.
• Assessing quotes and requests from subcontractors.
• Assessing and guiding the design.
• During realization, you supervise the execution and support the client.

This is what you can expect from us:

• A gross periodic salary (4 weeks) of € 4,500.00 to € 6,585.00 for a full-time employment (40 hours).
• 26 vacation days for a full-time employment plus 4 to 6 collectively designated free days per year. Additionally, you can purchase extra vacation days.

As a Technical Installations Expert, you communicate your message clearly and provide direction to the decision-making process. You make interests and choices transparent and convincingly involve stakeholders and the team in the approach. In doing so, you safeguard agreements and ensure that the importance of public lighting, traffic control systems, and dynamic traffic management is firmly anchored in our projects.

Furthermore, you have:

• Integrated contracts such as UAV-GC, RAW, Design & Construct, and 2-phase contracts
• Knowledge of Dialux EVO and the ability to make calculations and read the results
• Ability to create and read cable calculations
• Knowledge of traffic control systems
• Ability to read Otto and Cocon files
• Ability to test controls
• Basic knowledge of dynamic traffic management

You will work together with...
... your 7 colleagues from the Technical Installations cluster, part of the Boskalis design office. A nice mix of colleagues with different backgrounds and experiences. We often work together at the office in Papendrecht, but are also regularly found at project locations. Occasionally, you can also work from home.
