You have won tenders. You know how to read a tender, what to steer towards in a bid, how to price risks, and how to stay ahead of the competition. But you have also seen where requests for proposals fall short in substance. Where requirements are unrealistic or unclear.
What if you no longer had to respond to that system, but were allowed to improve it?
At Adjust, you get the chance to make the transition from Bid or Tender Manager to public procurement specialist. You shift your focus from optimizing bids to designing and managing tenders within the government. Not an administrative role, but a substantive deepening of the procurement profession: legally sharper, strategically structured, and with direct social impact.
As a Procurement Consultant, you work on projects within the government, such as with municipalities and other (semi)public organizations. You guide procurement processes and advise clients on their market approach. Your commercial experience is a distinguishing advantage in this. You understand how suppliers think, how price structures work, and when a request for proposal is not feasible in practice. You use that knowledge to make tenders more effective and professional.
Advising on the design of tenders at operational and tactical levels, translating your tender experience into clear requests for proposals and workable award methodologies;
Analyzing market information, cost structures, and supplier dynamics to help clients better position themselves towards the market;
Guiding and executing procurement processes within the government, from single and multiple procedures to European tenders;
Advising on the application of the Public Procurement Act and determining the right procurement strategy within the frameworks of legality and efficiency.
What is attractive about this role is the combination of substantive deepening and broadening of your professional profile. You will further develop yourself in the legal and strategic foundation of public procurement, work on concrete projects within the government, and build expertise that structurally increases your market value. Additionally, you contribute to the professionalization of public organizations and share your experience within teams.
At the Public Business Unit, you will join a driven but informal team of approximately 45 professionals. We share a passion for the public sector and attach great value to an open and accessible culture in which everyone quickly feels at home. There is always room for a joke, sharp feedback, and good ideas. We like to end the fixed office day with a joint drink and snack, because we believe that the best results come from a close-knit and collegial team.
