Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at Zwart, you will work on the design and mechanical engineering support of everything required for high-quality emergency power applications. You will design, draw, and calculate engine and generator sets, as well as complete containerized or indoor installations. This can include the design of steel structures, fuel systems, cooling water systems, exhaust systems, and ventilation systems.

The projects you work on vary greatly in scale, complexity, and customer requirements. You will often work on multiple projects simultaneously. You will execute projects from the start of the assignment through to production (largely indoors). Together with one of our project managers, you will consult on the most suitable approach, choice of techniques, and choice of materials. You switch easily between the different projects you are working on and set priorities in ad hoc activities.

Together with an experienced mechanical engineer, we would like to guide you through all aspects involved in a project to prepare you step-by-step so that you can eventually work independently on the engineering and coordination of a project. Within the engineering department, you will also be part of improvement processes to work more efficiently. Thinking along and thinking ahead is appreciated!

• 32-38 hours per week.

• Possibility to work from home for a maximum of 20% of your working time.

You have several years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer and are ready for the next step. You are looking for a full-time position in which you can further develop yourself professionally and personally and achieve more technical depth. You are solution-oriented, customer-oriented, and creative in designing customer-specific products. Additionally, you are someone who can work with concentration and under time pressure.

• HBO (higher professional education) level of work and thinking, and preferably a completed technical education, for example in the field of Mechanical Engineering;

• At least 4 years of work experience in a similar role.

• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following fields: mechanical engineering, diesel and generator technology, and fuel, cooling, or ventilation systems.

• Experience with drawing and software programs such as Inventor and/or AutoCAD.
