Requirements

What we're looking for

  • A completed technical education (MBO+ or HBO Mechanical Engineering, or similar)
  • Experience with 3D-CAD (Solid Edge preferred)
  • Understanding of steel constructions, welded joints, and strength of materials
  • Interest in or experience with earthmoving, agricultural, or heavy-equipment machines
  • A practical mindset: you enjoy designing things that actually work
  • You live within a maximum of 25 km of Eindhoven/Acht

The role

We are specialists in attachments for heavy equipment. From loader buckets to boom extensions: we develop and produce solutions that are exposed to extreme forces daily. That means: top quality, craftsmanship, and plenty of technical challenge.

Everything is custom-made, using the best quality steel and produced quickly at our own location in Eindhoven. Our customers are strong, nationally and internationally leading companies that make a difference in the demolition, dredging, earthmoving, recycling, and transshipment industries.

Are you a mechanical engineer who doesn't just want to sit behind a computer, but prefers to also get out into the field? Do you get energy from designing robust buckets, booms, boom extensions, and other heavy-duty constructions — and do you enjoy visiting customers on-site to see how your ideas make a difference?
Then we are looking for you!

What will you do?

As a Mechanical Engineer Heavy Equipment, you will work on challenging custom solutions for loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery. You are responsible for the complete engineering process: from problem exploration to design and handover to production.

What you'll do

  • You develop custom buckets, booms, extensions, and structural components for heavy equipment.
  • You create 3D designs (Solid Edge) and prepare working drawings for production
  • You perform strength and load checks (FEM or manual calculations).
  • You visit customers, inspect machines on-site, and contribute ideas for technical solutions
  • You translate practical needs into a smart, safe, and manufacturable design
  • You work closely with production planning, welders, and production: you see your design truly come to life.
  • You manage projects from A to Z and have a lot of freedom in technical choices.

Why this work is unique

  • You do not design for a theoretical world: your constructions are used intensively in construction, earthmoving, and industry.
  • You see your own solutions actually in action on large machines.
  • You work on projects involving force, mass, steel, wear layers, and serious loads — real engineering.
  • You have variety between office work, the workshop, and customer locations.

What do we offer you?

  • A position in which design work and site visits alternate
  • Working on unique custom projects under a premium label
  • Great technical freedom and a modern engineering environment
  • An informal, craft-driven, professional organization with short lines of communication
  • An enthusiastic, close-knit team: we put our shoulders to the wheel together and get the job done
  • Opportunities for further specialization (FEM, welding technology, hydraulics)
  • Good and flexible employment conditions

Are you ready for a role in which you both design and can observe the work in practice? Respond for more information. You are also welcome for an introductory meeting in the workshop.

Dear recruiters, acquisition following this vacancy is REALLY NOT appreciated!
